Analysis of Back Then
A thought ...no smile was in my eyes
I've been down this road before
bad memories appear in my head
the ones so full of lies.
Saying back then ...you were mine
you meant it ...I've been there, done it and seen it
my t-shirts been washed many times
If truth were dollars ...I'd have your dimes.
Now you tell the truth ...hear my lies
no sense being honest, leave out the goodbyes
just be my friend ...not my foe
stay beside me ...no need to go.
Give me your secrets, they'll stay in my heart
my soul's in your locket ...we'll never part
now free my memory from your heartbeat.
