Before I typed "blank page" there was a white abyss.
Before I typed "bright sage"
thought was a hit-or-miss.

Before I typed "void clause" there was an empty space.
Before I typed "sane cause"
thought was a basket case.

Before I typed "true blue" there was a deep distrust.
Before I typed "false cue"
thought was a total bust.

Before I typed "grand find" there was a vacant loss.
Before I typed "great mind"
thought was a fluky toss.

Before I typed "unite" there was a deep black hole.
Before I typed "insight"
thought was a murky goal.
