Analysis of Darkness
On a haunted day
Came a cold, dark night
When a demon ate the light.
Bit by bit It sunk its teeth
Through the fabric of the sky
Nothing was left but blotches of black
Where everything used to be bright
The shadows hanging over noon,
Had formed into a hole that grew.
Massive.
Gaping.
Now light itself could not escape it.
Then came a child, lost and scared,
Who from the edge of darkness stared;
As in a flash the wandering boy,
Got sucked into the void.
Floating now in empty space
Like before the world was made.
Was something there in the abyss?
A place where time did not exist.
Or was there nothing in the air?
But eerie silence everywhere?
So heavy he could feel it.
Blackness sticking to his skin.
With a fear of the unknown,
Deeper he went in.
Until he was swallowed whole by the darkness.
