Analysis of Daydreaming

Daydreaming in a café,
I'm nursing a coffee.
And as I take a sip,
stare into a mirror.

Everything's surreal,
a silver twilight zone.
And I sit there transfixed,
by every shifting scene.

I know it's only glass,
with a reflective sheen.
Yet like reality,
it's something very real.

Finding faults fascinate,
mine are soon scrutinized.
And I stare at myself,
wondering who'll blink first.

In this world of shadows,
entertainment's for free.
Like a voyeur, I watch
people perform unseen.
