Analysis of Defiant ( Written for my sister Juana)
In this life I learned to be defiant
You say I'm micro but I say I'm a giant
You told me I wouldn't walk and I out ran you all
Uplifting my spirit never letting it fall
I rose from the ashes like a phoenix from the fire
I did what I wanted my every desire
Walked my own path even while staring at death
Smiled at the b*st*rd and took my last breath
With defiance in my heart and strength in my voice
I told him he wasn't needed because I left by choice
Defiant as ever I then turned around and looked at the footsteps I left in the ground
Traces of me left everywhere in every person I know and every memory shared.
