Analysis of Don't Cry For Me

The waves come softly on my breast,
The waters wash my naked feet,
I hear a song of magic sweet...
From deepest age of Yore.
I should confess, this World of mine
 with dignity
By proclamation must be free!
Therefore my sea of love, don't cry for me!
*
Or if you do, I wonder how the flowers dew,
How come, it never made you see
The bright of beauty I adore,
The light of dark on the seashore,
The love that's simply sanctified
By God of shadows of the night,
In the transept of lucky stars...
My sea of love!
It is for you alone I live. For all the mighty art,
That heavy part is hard to give, don't cry for me!
*
Or if you do, cry on the waters,
Not on dreary land,
So, only I can understand, on Earth
 how rare
Beyond compare, an angel of the night,
Grant me the grace to sing,
The cry in the twilight!
