Analysis of Dream Of A (Young) Poet
spreading, as fingers outstretched,
variegated leaves disrupt
blue in a field of color.
great tree, tossing shadows
across this garden,
lending shape to what lies below:
i would that this bud
someday blossom becoming,
perhaps, a branch
all its own.
or rather as a dandelion
for one to carefully pluck,
and with gentle breath
send fragile seeds
in all ways
where sharp yellow might
steal away green, reflecting
sunlight, for all to marvel.
