Analysis of Emptiness

This is an old poem I wrote years ago on this site, so I'm just resubmitting it...

Stars so bright it's hard to see,
I know you are there looking back on me.
My fear runs deep for I miss you so much,
I pray you were here for me to touch.

Now you're gone, no clues what to do,
Just two days ago it was me and you.
It seems it has been so terribly long,
Yet a day has passed, and you're still gone.

God wants me there, my time is way passed due,
He's about to take me, already taken you.
Can't see straight, so very numb and cold,
The time is now, I will be bold.

Knees are shaking, palms are sweaty,
Barrel to my temple, trigger-finger ready.
I am so close, I'm almost there,
Wait for me, for it's heaven we'll share.

Wesley Earl McDonald

I'm a bad mamajama with a tongue like a double edged sword. I lay lines like women and drop a roof-raisin beat, and got Bills like Clinton cause I hoard. Rain, sleet, or shine I'll deliver a rhyme, and a beat that is solid as gold. But for now I gotta jet, cause I'm making you wet, so I'll put my awesomeness on hold. more…
