Analysis of Fond Memories
You've filled the gaping hole,
That dark and lonely chasm of my life
With hours of precious moments gold,
To these past months, you've added spice.
It took a while for us at first,
I thought we'd never meet,
And then when life was at its worst
You swept me off my feet.
In many ways you showed you cared,
In my life you became involved.
So many feelings we have shared,
Yet many doubts and fears lie unresolved.
Life is short, and I cannot see
What lies ahead tomorrow,
What fate again will beckon me
And turn my joy to sorrow.
But should there ever be a space
It won't be filled anew.
For in my heart, that special place
Shall be reserved for you.
