Analysis of Forever Friend

You were my eternal friend. What happened to forever?
Suddenly your care is gone. What causes bonds to severe?

You were my genuine friend. What happened to authentic?
Suddenly your real is fake. What causes such eccentric?

You were my familiar friend. What happened to comradeship?
Suddenly your pulse is still. What causes contact to slip?

You were my most trusted friend. What happened to trustworthy?
Suddenly your truth is false. What causes topsy-turvy?

You were my determined friend. What happened to resolute?
Suddenly your stanch is weak. What causes roles to uproot?

You were my amorous friend. What happened to affection?
Suddenly your love is cold. What causes disconnection?
