Analysis of Fornication Of The Mind

he fu**ed my head
then left me brain dead
now i have issues with trust
and i confuse love with @#$%

he told me what i needed to hear
promised to marry me within a year
got on his knees and presented a ring
i was blinded temporarily by the bling

a missing element for this drama was the stage
i actually believed this meant we were engaged
he did the most to convince me he was sincere
note to self; things are not always as they appear

i'm a magnet that attract the lowest forms of life
men with a craft of cutting hearts with a knife
unfortunately, none of them a cardiac surgeon
when it comes to decent relationships; im a virgin

i know a man will say anything for a cheap thrill
they prey upon me like vultures going in for the kill
just so they can dance in my pants and spill dna
it's time i take a stand and do things my way

i'm constructing an emotional shield
i'll be damned sure not to yield
that is, if by then my emotions are cured
easier said unless again, i'm lured
