Analysis of I Promised Myself

I promised myself to never feel this way
to lose the game and feel the pain
I promised myself I'd ignore those feelings I felt before
the feelings I didn't want to feel anymore
then it hit me, something I couldn't hold back
it was stronger then me
and all of a sudden I realised that it was the truth I could see
I must move on and learn from my mistakes
and see the light and find happiness
no matter what it takes
