Analysis of Long Forgotten

Our time was limited and our
time was short, but even so,
I made you a home each and
every time you came to me...

But it was not enough--
not what you wanted,
so you left, and moved on,
and i was alone.

I moved on, but still so often
looked back-- and I would still
stretch out my hand to you, even now,
if I knew you would take it...

Love never fades easily,
even after a year, time doesn't
always heal all wounds, and there
