Analysis of Memories
Your faded photograph hangs on my wall;
Tears flow as I dream of you,
And yet...
I lift my face to the darkening sky,
and taste each raindrop as it falls;
Life contained, Life expressed,
Life is given to all,
For a time.
I open my eyes to the morning light,
shimmering on the dew
of each perfect spiderweb;
No greater art does life express
than in these tiny drops,
where rainbows live.
I raise my hands to the firelight warmth;
Each flame contains an image:
Memories and times past.
No further palette is needed
to find the beauty therein.
Silent fingers of doubt are dispelled
by these simple joys;
I face the day with renewed hope.
