Analysis of Not Love

Love is not a light-switch to be turned off and on
by some Flimsy Whimsy who uses it as pawn
Love is not a doormat to wipe off dirt from boots
by some Grainy Zany who plainly has no roots
Love is not a target to be shot at for fun
by some Daffy Sassy who wants to hit-and-run
Love is not a checkbook to be written on banks
by some Lazy Crazy who assumes they are blanks
Love is not a morsel to be forked up and chewed
by some Hungry Horsey who is greedily shrewd
Love is not a stopgap to be shared between gigs
by some Lonely Only who dances shifty jigs
Love is not a firestorm to be snuffed out with drink
by some Boozy Doozy who with alcohol shrink
Love is not a caper to be a moment's fling
by some Woozy Floozy who castigating bring
Love is not an object to be a sexual score
by some Happy Hussy who jabs as picador
