Analysis of River of Life

River of life where are you taking me
For these waters are running deep
I’m scared for I can swim but for how long
I think the direction you’re taking me is wrong
Did I merge with a river that threw us off?
For I have a terrible feeling that we are lost
River of life where are you taking me
Is this something you want me to experience and see
Why is my face wet from the ride
Why haven’t these emotions subside
I remember not long ago you cool entrancing waves
Where in bliss and love a bed I made
River of life where are you taking me
I wonder if the next bend joy I’ll see
For it’s been a long white water journey
And I’m yearning for tranquility

Melissa Torres

These are but written photos of my life, my mind, and those around me captured as best as I could in words. I'm not a trained writer so my style is of no particular way. I have long detailed poems and short to the point ones. My hope is that you can see what I have seen feel what i felt with out braking your head trying to figure out what I meant. Enjoy! more…
