Analysis of Standing Close to the Fire

I only meant to warm up a little.
(standing close to the fire)
I didn't realize that I could get burned.
(standing close to the fire)
I thought it would comfort me.
(standing close to the fire)
I didn't know I could be consumed.
(standing close to the fire)
I began to feel the heat.
(standing close to the fire)
Falsely I was drawn in.
(standing close to the fire)

Suddenly, I became the flame.
