I beseech you O My Motherland
Mourn! My beloved country mourn
For those gasping for their breath
And dying wrenching in their bed
For those who are being orphaned
And those whose laps are listless
Mourn! My beloved country mourn
For those who have no tears left
Who’ve no work and have no bread
Yet don't scream against this dread
Live contented fearing God's wrath
Mourn! My beloved country mourn
For you're ruled over by sycophants
Who once wore knickers and now pants
Who worship you and sing your paean
But rip you apart for every little gain
Mourn! My beloved country mourn
For the countless parents who wail
Finding children incarcerated in jail
They fight injustice despite being frail
Yet simply adore you in every detail
Mourn! My beloved country mourn
For Him who created a mirage of hope
Then swashed your children in dope
Whose followers do nothing but cringe
And keep pushing freedom to the fringe
Mourn! My beloved country mourn
For those who can still laugh and gloat
Can have sumptuous meals and float
For they don't know the irony of future
And remain trapped as desire's creature
I beseech you O my dear motherland
Mourn so loud that you seethe in anger
Wash all your grief and emerge stronger
Let your children know that all isn't lost
Glory of people shall come and stay longer
I know you'll come out of this gloom
Shall see flowers of freedom bloom
For you fret not free speech but silence
Subjugation you abhor with vengeance
