Christian Humility
If you are encouraged in Christ,
With any comfort from His love;
The Holy Spirit has enticed,
With the affection from above.
Fulfill your joy in the same mind,
With the same love in full accord;
Having your thoughts fully aligned,
In your heart and mind with the Lord.
Detour from possible conceit,
And any selfish ambition;
Never showing any deceit,
Rather esteem as a Christian.
Let each of you on your own things,
Not being as your main concern;
Rather for another that brings,
Increasing the trust you will earn.
Let this mind to be within you,
Which is also in Jesus Christ;
That you spiritually construe,
Think of why He was sacrificed.
Though He was in the form of God,
He did not count equality;
Although He had been never flawed,
With the Father as equally.
But He had no reputation,
Taking the form as a servant;
Offered others salutation,
An inspiration so fervent.
He had been found in human form,
Humbled Himself as to obey;
Attitude as friendly and warm,
While preaching throughout each day.
Therefore God has exalted Him,
Bestowed the name above all names;
No longer believers feel grim,
While each one of us proclaims.
Hearing His name your knee shall bow,
Each and every tongue will confess;
That Jesus is the Lord to vow,
As the glory of God will bless.
