RIGA

RIGA

With  a windswept  coastline sweeping along the Baltic Sea rushes bewitching
In  the North East of Europe, touching Russia
Jewel of a city is the Capital of Latvia,
a magical place of a gentle million is Riga.

Pretty boulevards and  abundant space,
cobbled streets and spired churches in grace,
Magnificent Art Nouvaeu edifices galore,
famous for its  dazzling ambers , sycamore
quaint little cafes and  dressed up trams to adore,
all over the city wonderments in store.
That’s the enchanting city of Riga,
the El Capitan of Latvia.

The meandering waters of the river Daugava
kisses both banks of the alluring city in Riga
Riga’s bridges over the river Daugava in the night,
look like glittering necklaces of pearls
strawn over the shimmering waters,
boats swaying to and fro in the windy weathers.

Riga is glistening gold in summer
the good citizens enjoy the fabulous weather
with friends and family every year
and visitors cannot wait to get back there.

In winter Riga becomes more enchanting
despite the bone chilling ice freezing.
Christmas is round the corner,
fireplaces at homes in full power,
the famous Christmas markets and madding crowds dotted here and there
what a fascinating city Riga is all over.
