Caring Without Wants
You say, you care a lot for me
Others too say same to me with glee
I cared for them too you know
It wasn’t enough, that they showed
All they wanted was something more
I gave them that too, to help them grow
Some got satisfied and left, their caring withdrew
Some still show they care, wanting more from me to chew
So just let me know what you want too?
I don’t wanna hurt myself caring for you
Have been used and abused by many
Scared that you too will seek more than plenty
Don’t care for me if you just want something
Ask, I can provide you, without any feeling
This is not me, nor someone I want to be
This is what others have made out of me
Tell me your different, tell me I can trust
I want to be cared by someone for once just
Maybe, just maybe, your a unique one
A blacked pearl in muddy waters,
waiting to adorn my life
A lonely star hidden behind dark matters,
waiting to shine my stride
But I keep pushing away, fearing your no different and won’t stay
Maybe I can take that one chance today
So hear me out, let me put an end to your fears, so true
Yes, I am one of them too, wanted maybe much more from you
But you needn’t worry, you did admit
I’m not someone that your life can fit
But am still here, just another foolish bloke
A place in your heart , is now only a hope
So let go yourself, I am here if you want or need
I more than care for you, without any greed
About this poem
Why do people always think that someone always wants something from them!! Is a desire of someone really a want or a need!?!
