My Soul

NiecieSlay87 1987 (Panama City)

Wounds are harsh and bitter
the taste of flesh and blood still lingers in my mouth
in a state of shock and confusion
silent in the night the voices are loud enough to hear

Watching it take control
like the colors of a stained glass window
burning, caressing, and wanting more
I dig deep in search of my soul but pounding is to loud

I look at my hands as hot blood turns cold
I shake with the understanding that my mind is no longer in control
My heart no longer beats it slowly dies like a painting on a wall stuck inside its own thoughts and wonders

My life bleeds wanting the taste to come back
begging and pleading to become the person I once was, The tears I shed are real but my heart no longer feels

If I could die a thousand deaths I would for Hell is not where my soul shall rest for eternity
