Carvings
Miles Ohman 2009
The words you told her
were later carved
into her skin, unable to take back.
The things you did,
never forgotten as she paints herself red,
her paintbrush a sharp, shiny tone of silver.
She found herself unable to think,
she may have been in pain, but at the time
she had never felt more relieved to watch the crimson liquid drip down her arms.
