Eyes Like Wildflowers

Jacob A. Jowers 2004 (Texas)

Her eyes are like wildflowers
The way they glisten in the sun
Her voice is gentle and light
More so when she calls me Hun

I never thought I’d fall so hard
Not for someone I’d never met
But the second I saw her smile
I knew then that was it

Her hands are small and soft
They’re a perfect match for mine
Her lips are warm and silky
With her kiss I nearly lose my mind

Her heart has been cracked
Yet still the most beautiful thing
But the ways she was hurt
They make my whole body sting

When I see her face
Her beauty truly makes my day
There are 563 miles between us
Not even that can keep me away

She is breathtakingly perfect
I promised I’d marry her one day
There isn't a thing I’d change about her
Without her I’d simply fade away

Her laugh is adorable and sweet
Her smile is radiant and bright
They way they fit together
It really suits her right

Your eyes are like wildflowers
The way they glisten in the sun
You are the girl of my dreams
You are my Love and I am your Hun

About this poem

This is my first piece of poetry that I have ever written before, and I haven't read a whole lot either, so I don't know if this will be any good or not. However, I would love to give it a shot! I wrote this poem about my girlfriend who means the world to me and I love her.
