My Dear Aphrodite

There are many words I could speak
In expressing how much I felt this week
None can better say what my heart sings
And yet I will try on this poem’s wings:

In all this good day, I felt much to say

Least of all is that I missed you today
Often my heart would dance and sway
Violently to our moments of joy and play
Each heartbeat would sing and pray

You are the answer it feels, my fine queen
Only you, fine to the eyes, a stunning scene
Upping my heart in colours of lemon green
