Why

Why can't I seem to forget your face?
Why do I even remember your name?
Why do I want to see you smile?
It's strange cause I haven't felt like this in a while
Why do I enjoy hearing you laugh?
I could play it over on a repeat track
Those eyes I search out to find
There's something about you that is rare to your kind
I messed up and said what I said
Now I feel any chances are dead
I just wish I could get you to see
How impossibly strong these feelings I have for you and how much they mean to me
I don't know why but the longer I am without you the Harder it gets to not breakdown and cry
I write this poem not to ask you but myself why?
Why do I just want to see you happy?
Why when your sad I feel crappy?
Why do I care about giving you what you want and need?
I said what I said as a mistake
But as I feel its to late, I have this to say
I have emotions I can't explain
I feel things that are making me sane
The same things even with this pain I wouldn't change
I see your face and feel this way
All the time, every day
If only I could hold you and wipe away  your tears
Show you that not everyone wants to add to your fears
There is someone kind who you will find
Who will make you feel like I do for you
Who will look forward to seeing your face even if only for a few hours a day...
I will feel like this up till the second I die
And probably live with this of never knowing why
