WAR IS NOT AN ART
War is selfishness
It is the desecration of human existence
War is insanity
It may be the dream of a maniac
It is the worst nightmare of nationhood
War births no win
And leaves no gains
Ruins and orphans are its relics
Its themes are tears and anguish
War is a fraud
It is a collage of unjustness
and moral mediocrity
The most inhumane act of humans
Hidden to many is its utter needlessness
War is not an art
War is no art
No matter how fine you paint it.........
About this poem
I wrote this poem with the title of that old book, "The Art of War" in mind. I have never been in the Military, but having seen wars occurring in different nations of the world, I have come to realize that war is war and there is nothing artistic about war.
