The Perfect Man

Tina Carter Ratley 1966 (North Carolina)

April 22

There's a time in my life when I gave up on love.
I prayed to the Heavens and the Lord above.
Please bring into my life, the person I could not find.
A man who understands me, a man so sweet and kind.
I've gone through so much, with men from before,
It's my time to love, and give back even more.
Everytime I'm looking, Love I'll never find,
Then there's comes a day when loves not on my mind,
In walks The Perfect Man, the Lord sent for me to find.
You have been in my life for some time now,
You have stood by my side, the most when things were down.
We've gone through so much in just a short time,
Through stress and sickness, luck was never on our side.
I'm here for the long run, now I found The Perfect Man,
So bring on the good times, this we both could stand.
I love you Baby, this I've known from the start
I love being with you, so I never want to part.
Forever is the time, I want to spend with you,
Good times and bad ones and broke ones too.
I promise to stay by your side, to love you every day,
Just return the favor and happily we will stay.

Y name is Tina R6, im from Thomasville, North Carolina where ive lived for 16 years. I'm 56 years old, married to the love of my life for 16 years. I worked in the Medical Office field for 30 years until i had to stop working because of my medical problems. I don't have any children because in 2009 I went through Cervical Cancer and that took any chances of me having children. I do have 3 furr babies who are Max, Lexi and Kyi-Kyi. I don't write poems as a living, of course. I write when I'm very emotional...marriage, deaths, etc. I find it hard to start, but once I start writing, the words just flow through my mind. It's an awesome feeling. I love writing poems, not that many...maybe 15 or so. more…
