What I Deserve

David Schantz 1950 (Des Moines, Iowa)

What I deserve'
I miss you Sue.
I love you.
The most beautiful lady in the world was right in front of me.
I thought I could do better.
I was a fool, still am.
I'd want you to come back, but then you'd be in pain.
I don't want that.
I know where you are.
Your in Gods Kingdom.
That's what the voice told me.
It said you was dying/going with God.
That is where you should be.
Your one of Gods children.
I've ask you to forgive me every day.
I've prayed for God to forgive me daily too.
I prayed God would allow me into his Kingdom when my days here are through.
In his time, not mine.
When /if I get there I pray he lets me find you.
I pray he lets us be together for all eternity.
Until then, I get what I deserve.
