Hillbilly
Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)
Woe to you O’ mountain
When you call yourself a leader
And say that God appointed you
To go and be his speaker
You claim to have authority
While threatening the sheep
You say if they don’t fall in line
That they will get no sleep
But Jesus, rules them justly
With his mercy and compassion
And every lie that you build up
God will tear down and smash it
