Bodyhurts
Douglas Hugh Mc Clintock 1934 (Sarnia, Ontario)
I woke up the other day
I realized I was doing a poor job
On dying,
I was doing it, inch by inch !
Now dying can be a complex thing,
Our bodies are slowing down to become an elder,
The senior's plight is he can't fight
The good fight anymore !
From babe, youth, middle ager and old senior
Is our life style for you and me,
If you do all four
Be thankful, many can't do it !
The word "can't" is in my daily vocabulary,
Can't sleep, can't see, can't hear, can't walk
But I can still feel that crippling pain in my body,
I am blessed to have a good thinker !
Some say, life is tough and then you die,
Walking in a cemetery, reading the tombstones,
Of people we once knew and loved,
Not me, my motto, dust to dust !
They day Godly sorrow is better than laughter,
Difficult memories are itched in our mind,
My ashes will be with my sweetheart
In the beautiful Bluewater River St Clair !
But there is more to tell,
God is testing us in this life,
So we can reign with Him
Forever , how good can it get !
But alas there is something I can do,
I have become a homemade poet
Reliving my past,
It has gone by very fast but what a blast !
Please join me for the trip of a life time !
