My Femme's Love
Ayomide Damilare 2004 (kwara state)
From my infant, I looked up only to see different gazes I was not familiar with
Smiles curved their radiant expressions hidden the gloomy one
Laughter could be heard with the children giggles
Random word occupying the entire room with a question of who am I
speaking in form of a cry with no one to comprehend
i was held countless times in the hand of a elated woman
I was tranquil, liberated from sombre
Preserve into the cradle while I let out a loud sob
Having heard my sound giving an immediate attention by a woman whom I consider to be my mother
Fed and pampered by her not knowing the cause of my demeanor
A suck given to me by her ceased my long time yell
Drifted into a deep Snooze.
Being a Toddler, not mastering my every step Crawl, toddle, Fell and raised by my Mother
Sobbing and being cuddled by my Mother
With a word have been continuously told "sorry it's okay you will get used to it"
Patted on the head. drifted into a deep snooze.
Crossing my preschool and clocking my teenage years.
Taking a glimpse at the behind with a thought of "I've really gone so far".
Nostalgic about the old days of my birth stage still with the aim of soaring high.
