Still be Crass to me, It Feels Like Home

I loved mr.Everything,
a placid boy, he spoke like a bird.
Ever sweet boy, sing the songs to me,
I’ll dip my toes in sand,
and my face in bleach.

He loved me, methinks, he did,
tough love is a wretched friend
M..M…or whatever the same, dance for me,
and I disintegrated for him.
Oh how his love was empty.

Oh, how you tore me apart! like leaf paper!
just to fuel your hellish flame, monster you!

But I still love you dearest,
alas, you still don’t. The cycle begins anew,
and you spun the wheel, beloved bastard.

About this poem

It’s sort of a meditation on my own experiences with depending on rare moments of validation from people who treated me with little regard to my own life or experiences.
