My Heart hurts

Kelsey 2003 (Kampala)

My heart hurts
When I conjur up the memories we had
And reflect on the beauty if no buts
I want to raise our love from the dead
To welcine you back into my life with a smile
An hug you tight so that you don't fade
It hurts cause some dreams remain dreams
And some imaginations remain ifs
My heart hurts
For I want to run and confide in your arms
To gaze into your eyes and follow your charns
But there are so many obstacles in the way
There is an ocean to wide to cross at the end of the day
And even when I violently want to be yours
I have to painfully let my heart bleed
To be mine

About this poem

It is a poem about love that can't be regained because the person has to let the person they love go because they were not right for them
