The search of "Me"

Ose Swaraj 2004 (India)

Miles I travelled in the search of me ...
Asked the strangers the definitions, the laws of the universe, if they knew who I was but,
more of questions they gave me; answers still unknown.
At last I reached an ocean, a dead end, asked if it also had stories to tell, and
it did talk but I, couldn’t hear yet, I felt...
Tears met the ground, heart was numb.
I turned back, saw my journey and realised I went astray, I was wrong...
Why was I searching for me elsewhere and everywhere when I was supposed to look into my reflection, into my eyes...
Should have travelled to the soul through them,
 asking questions to me,
it would have led to nowhere but me...
