My Savior, My Lord and My God

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Little birds on the table A candle for light
A fan on my back and it all seems so right

Your words flowing freely Through the pen in my hand
And my beautiful wife Lord she helps me to stand

What more could I ask from my Wonderful King
My Lord Jesus Christ to me He’s everything

When I’m too weak to walk Then He carries me on
When I’m too weak to fight Then He proves Himself strong

He never does leave me He stays by my side
Till the day turns to night and we’re ready to ride

Yea though I walk through the shadow of death
I will fear no evil He gives me each breath
