What if
Prithviraj sarangi 2005 (Odisha)
Will anyone care if I stopped breathing one day!
People might have many things to say
At my grave, one last hug did I crave?
I did fight but wish was little brave.
Cause things didn't go as planned,
All my happiness were closed off and banned,
I still couldn't hate the people who hurt me,
To vent out my anger, to shout and be free.
I pleaded, no more hurting or breaking,
I'm tired of my ground constantly shaking,
Should start from putting people in their place,
To cut them off and walk life at my own pace.
I tried and tried to be not kind and cold,
But one tear from them, I embrace and hold,
Cause I know the pain of crying alone,
As voices screech in octaves and different tone.
I was matured but can't act like that always,
I'm just a mere human, was treated worst than slaves,
I did sacrifice little things for you, ike my youth,
But it didn't matter to you, you wanted fake not truth.
kept on stitching my bleeding heart,
Will you just stop for a minute listen and look in the tort,
Where my eyes begs for peace and mind for ease,
I did give my life to you for lease, not to desolate me and freeze.
I want to at least wake up one day without envy,
To be brighter than the sun that gaze at me,
T hear sound of the waves clash will I forgive my past!
As time tries to heal my broken parts, life moved on so fast.
Many mistakes and false promises were made,
The scars that engraved slowly begin to fade,
From the ground I will rise again to my heel
By believing and hoping, will I Heal?
