Where did imagination go
For just a little small wee while
I contemplated the average style
I knew I wasn't one of them,
When adding poetry with my pen.
My styles unique
Im totally captivating you,
I see your smile reading through,
You know exactly what I mean
As you read it
how I had seen.
And this is why I love to write
Trouble is it's such a fight,
For poetry to to shine so bright
And get its chance in the spotlight.
People don't find it entertaining,
Its not as fun as tic tok or roblox gaming.
It's simply using that mind you know
To let the words of rhyme just flow.
Imagination has so... long gone,
For Internet just draws them on.
No-one has no time no more
They can't be bothered to explore.
Its all about a quicker way.
For me this is all I have to say.
I tell my feelings through poetry
Not all understand,
But it works for me.
I feel that it's a relaxing way
To tell you all what I have to say.
I wished more people would pick up books
And read the pages how it looks
Be drawn into all the chapters
See how each mind captures.
Let your imagination go
To places only authors know,
Be part of what it says in ink
Imagine the character how you think.
Captivate it all together
Share it with whoever.
Then as your mind comes back from running
The endings what you never saw coming.
Wasn't that great it kept you hooked,
See there's nothing like a good reading book.
