The City Lights

They glimmer, your eyes,
Like the city lights.
They seem distant
Even when they are close.
They shine brighter,
Even more when it's dark around.
They hold the universe,
But it's too vast.
Too vast for my fragile heart.

They are so lively,
Eccentric and excited.
They make me forget of all the thorns,
Your eyes and the city lights.
