empty
in a river, I lingered
waiting for one of the thousands of faces
of my past to recognize me,
time laps without a hand in sight.
vibrations in the east, some part of you,
memories drown my headaches
stabilizing the message for a minute
reminding me I was once a child,
the gleam I had left my face,
left my choice after a whisper of fate,
when I dipped my feet into you.
Into a man I’ve changed, still believing in you
ripened now whenever I dig under my skin.
I get a little oblivious to abandoning caution.
Just an empty vast body of deserted vines of me,
decorating a skeleton in the middle of the river,
floating for you... empty.
