The Last Shall be the First

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

My heart is filled with joy, I know your love is great
You give me everything I need and I just have to wait

Your presence is so awesome that I really can’t explain it
Your revelation gives me hope, I can barely contain it

How is it that you care for me; this little speck of dust?
You saved me from this life of sin and all this world’s lusts

My children will be waiting there to greet me in your rest
As soon as I have run the race and passed the final test
