Mother Africa
oh! Mother African
Made hail yet your frail
You stride in the path of darkness
You are strewed with the clothing of corruption
And the garment of violence
It's such a shame;such aura of mystery
Brings you so much calamities
Oh! Mother Africa
when you open your mouth to wail
You are criticized that your strident voice is loud and unpleasant
The veil of vanity covers your scars
You try to attain greater height
But you are sailed into the land of evil
Oh! Mother Africa
You tried to scream for help
But your wings are clipped and your hands are tied
Your throat is weary and sounds like that of a deceased bird
When oh! great mother
when shall you be free from your burdensome journey
