Between the Two

Angels let me go,
I don’t wanna care anymore.
Demons leave me alone,
I feel like loving someone a little more.

Twisting between the two,
Being the most hated and loved.
The dark side that most never knew,
The light everyone once shoved.

Angels let me go,
I don’t wanna care anymore.
Stress overwhelms everyone I know.
You make me add it to my list like it’s my chore.

Something I must do,
Even if I know them not.
Angels find someone new,
Their burdens corrupt my every thought.

Demons don’t you grab me.
I dare not sell my soul.
Why won’t you let me be?
Give me back the heart the angels stole.
