Shallow Waters
A battlefield of hate,
where men fight for power,
With anger deep,
to ascend the sunless tower.
But what do they find,
when the war is won,
An emptiness,
a battle not worth the labor.
A river of deceit,
flows through the land,
Guiding the masses,
To coarse, red sand.
But when the waters clear,
And the river slows,
We see the shallowness,
of our constructed foes.
