Many Never Hear It

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Every dollar is important
And so is every minute.
If you haven’t been in the Word today,
You really should get in it.

Its not that the Lord isn’t speaking;
Its just you’re slow to listen.
Though you should be moving mountains by now,
There’s something you’re still missing.

It’s written: there’s a famine coming on the land,
But not of hunger or thirst.
Oh no, but of hearing the Word of God,
And that will be the worst!

By faith we discover many things,
But faith in who is what counts.
If you don’t have faith in Jesus Christ,
Your misery only mounts.

So why then sit there idle?
As the rest just moves on past you.
The Word of God will be your saving grace,
The One that ever lasts you!

So, get into the Word right now;
Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit.
You need the Word of God to live!
Still many never hear it!
