More Than Conquerors

The Lord has saved and rescued me,
Even from the danger I could not see;
He watches over me day and night.
The Lord’s the one who does what’s right!

The Lord has become my strength and shield.
To wicked men I will not yield.
They surrounded me on every side.
Then to the Lord my God I cried!

I cut them off like death in spring;
I conquered them with just one swing.
I watched and saw the last one fall.
I cut them off; I killed them all!

They fell and will not rise again.
This is the fate of wicked men.
They robbed the blind and killed the lame;
Down to the grave they’ll go in shame!

I was pushed back and about to fall.
But then, My God, He heard my call.
He lifted me up to stand on High.
He rescued me so I would not die!
