Midnight Reflections: A Journey Through the Night
But it's a wound that cannot be mended
I'm left here in the darkness, tormented.
Midnight moments, when the world is still
And all the sounds of life have faded away
I'm left alone with my thoughts, my will
To keep on living another day.
I've tried to find solace in the night
The moon and stars shining above my head
But it's just a momentary light
That leaves me feeling lost, cold and dead.
The midnight moments are a time for thought
A time to reflect on what I've done
The paths I've taken, the choices I've sought
The memories I've lost and those that won.
I've tried to find a way to escape
To leave this life and all its pain behind
But I can't seem to shake this constant ache
That grips me tight, refuses to unwind.
And so I sit here in the dark
Thinking of all the things that I've done wrong
Regretting all the choices I've made
Wishing that I could undo what's gone.
But as the midnight moments pass
I know that I'm still here, still alive
That though my heart may be broken in half
I can still find a way to survive.
And so I'll keep on fighting through the night
With every breath and every beat of my heart
I'll keep on moving forward, with all my might
Towards a future that is just a start.
For though the midnight moments may be dark
And full of pain and fear and endless night
I'll keep on moving, with a fearless heart
Towards a brighter tomorrow, full of light.
