Aaron’s Poem
I can’t help to look at your pictures,
Every morning when I light my smoke.
I start to poor my coffee in my cup,
Then that’s when I start to choke.
The tears start to roll.
The memories come rushing in.
The stories we shared,
Where would I begin?
Every afternoon I look to the sky,
And I scream out your name.
I would do anything I could,
If I could just see you again.
The evening then slides in,
While I sit with a drink in my hand.
You were more than just my son,
You were also my best friend.
The sun then sets and the night rolls in.
The sky’s become so dark.
Another day has gone by.
Another day with a broken heart.
