Dreaming
I once had a dream I was flying,
But there in mid-air I was dying,
I fell to the ground and thump made a sound,
I was running around and still trying.
I once had a dream I was crying,
But the tears that I shed were not drying.
They ran down like a flood
And the ink turned to mud.
I’m awake now; that’s why I’m not lying!
