Word On The Wind
A blade of grass grows in the wind.
The wind blows where it will.
You hear the sound and the grasses bend,
but where it goes no one can tell.
Such is the spirit of man,
who believes upon the Word.
His body is dried up as the grass,
but his spirit is alive for good.
If we speak of earthly things,
and still men don’t believe,
how can such men understand
the things they cannot see.
The light that breaks through the darkness
is the light that through me shines,
and the water that flows through my soul
is the well of everlasting life.
See the light and drink from the well.
Hear the Word on the wind,
and understand that what you don’t see
is more real than what you can.
About this poem
The spiritual world is not evident to everyone, nor is its relationship to the physical, but its reality, when you encounter it, is undeniable.
